Bit of a conundrum - out of the dozen chinese painted quail in the incubator only one little soul has hatched. I've put it under the brooder but, although it's drinking and feeding ok it looks so lonely. Then I had a thought (doesn't often happen!) and I've put a little mirror in with it and now it's happily talking to itself in the mirror. Question - will it grow up to be a bit odd? It seems sad it's by itself but watching its behaviour I don't think it realises it's on its own. I have pekin chicks hopefully hatching in a couple of weeks so perhaps I could put it in with them?

Fully grown it will only be the size of a month old chick and need to be in an aviary when startled they shoot skywards at an alarming rate, could you find it a mate or 3 from an auction maybe or a pet shop beware though you can only have 1 male with a group of females as they will fight to the death good luck G
