Some of you will know that I lost my old (12 years) norfolk bronze turkey stag juist before Xmas. I am missing him as he was something out of the ordinary in my garden. I went to visit a fellow poultry keeper yesterday and among other thoings, she keeps ornamental pheasant. I was rather taken by the lady amhursts. However, I really don't want to build anothe pen, I want something to wander about the garden. Doesa anyone with pheasant experience read these boards? If so, could you advise me. If I got a cock pheasant of some kind, could I expect it to wander about on my land safely. Would I be better getting a pair or trio? What about if I got some eggs and hand reared the babies, would I then get a tame pet?
