let me break the silence then. Broody; this is a term which i have only heard of and not yet witnessed as i am pretty new to the hobby. i think one of my bantams have gone broody as 2day she sat on 5 eggs out of which i think 2 were not hers for approximatly 3 hours mayb more. i have had to relocate my males as we had a complaint from the council for noise.
my question is has she gone broody? and if so can i buy eggs and put em under her? and whats the gaurentee shel sit on em?

well it sounds like she may be thinking about it lol if i was u i would waite till she is sitting tight on the eggs rather than just a few hours at a time . you can bye eggs to go under her as long as you bye eggs of a breeder who can atleast asure you the hens are running with a cock and that they have had relativly good fertility . one thing to bear in mind if hatching eggs is there are bount to be a few males that hatch if the eggs hatch out ok so bear in mind if you cant have cocks at home you will need to either find new homes for them or kull them out .
