One of my layers is acting broody... I think. From about 10:30 she'll go into the henhouse and sit on the nest. If I try to move her to see if there are eggs under her, she either gets angry and pecks me, screeches the henhouse down, or as yesterday, does nothing! She continues like this for a couple of hours but then in the afternoon she's back to normal even if there are eggs in the nest.
Is she broody or is she not? I was wanting to put some fertile eggs under her but think she may leave them.

try and get her settled somewhere on her own in a small run/pen/hutch. Then when she does eventually sit tight you wont have to move her to somewhere to sit. She may start laying her own eggs to hatch as well. You will also get to see if she is laying as if she isnt she is probably not going broody duckmad
