Hiya Madcat , i have some call ducks eggs in one of my bators at the mo , im hatching them for my neighbour. I havent made my mind up yet what im going to set next , proberly a mixture as my OH wants more silkies , at the mo my pens in the garage are full , and i have a few chicks in a brooder at mo , hmmm where can i put the next batch lol

we used to think that but you find space for them when you have them, as we found out on wed when we came home with more than we bargained for from hereford. 64 point of lay pullets, 15 goslings 15 ducklings and 9 maran chicks, ohh well never mind, the more the merrier duckmad

not sure about what they are as they were sold as large white x, but had a chat to madcat last night and between us we think from the markings they are ebden x toulouse, everything else seems to have settled ok but the chickens dont seem to know how to go to bed so they have to be caught and put to bed every night but they are getting better and we only had 11 to catch tonight, they will bet there, i dont think they have ever been out and have been shed reared duckmad
