Does anyone here keep geese? Is it necessary to have a pond or deepish water for them to get into for mating? Would this be better for fertility rates?

My neighbour keeps geese so I will ask him. We have ducks and they only seem to bonk on the pond and not on dry land. Suspect geese will be the same.

Having a good pond doe's help fertility rate quite a bit.Make sure it is deep enough for them to actually swim...

You're gonna laugh at this
I don't know if it helps fertility, but on watching my geese, the ganders can balance on the geese far easier in water than on land.......hence!!!!!!
