Well after the bad snow and ice this week all the duck houses needed cleaning again, the snow had been blowing in the door and ventilation hole all week and wet the bedding badly so of with the roofs, flip off the frame and scrape the floors, We are using shavings at the moment and have tried peelings from the local timber yard which we use round the houses to keep the mud down ( they work a treat outside but seem to absorb all the wet inside and stay wet) so i was wondering what everyone uses as bedding for their ducks/chucks has anyone found anything better or do we all have the same problem

Hiya Duckmad , i use shavings to , how about buying a cheap rubber car mat cut it so far up in stripes and pin it to the inside of the coop door , the chooks will proberly be a bit reluctant at first but will soon discover they can still enter and leave the coop with no problems . Same for the ducks ;D
