thanks little feathers , i seen it in a sale at our local garden center and it was advertised as a dog kennel , must be for very big dogs ;D All we had to do to it was add the nesting boxes , a couple of perches and put in a smaller door for the chooks , it looks good and its a lot cheaper than paying for a ready made chook house .

good idea ash i quite agree about paying for a proper one. We made all our duck houses, they are 3x4ft by 3.6ft high, they are all flat packed and very simple to make. The OH does the timber cutting and i make them, ( not bad for a woman) cant post a picture as havent worked out how to do it yet, we make all ours out of 6x1" timber as we have a predator problem and so long as the ducks are in bed on a night i know they are ok Ladies get your men to build you houses, anything cheap and simple and you can build them to you own spec
