hi ash we are in mid wales and yes we have snow. We got out this morning to take the 4x4 to the garage and only got back. We picked it up tonight and got back to find it snowing heavily again. The gritters dont know we exist in the hills so hereford is off tomorrow. Never mind there is always next week duckmad

We have snow in Moray. Schools were closed yesterday, open today, but looks promising for closed again tomorrow.
My chickens don't want to come out the shed and have stopped laying. I dug a clear area in the pen today but by teatime it was covered again.

Darn and blast, it didn't snow enough in the night and school is open. We have several inches on the ground and its snowing heavily now. However, between showers it's glorious sunshine and blue sky.
My 3 year olds were due on a trip to Elgin fire station today with playgroup but I've kept them at home. The bus driver is the one who took us swimming and every week she hit the curb. I don't want to think about what she's like with snow and ice. So because no playgroup, I don't have to get dressed. The boys walk themselves to school.
My Polands haven't been out of the henhouse since Saturday. My 4 brown hens stick to the side of the garden where theres thinner snow next to the wall. I might clear them a space later when the showers have passed.
Meanwhile I'll just have another cuppa and think aboout getting dressed...later

sorry ash didnt mean to be rude, as far as the snow is concerend, no post again 3rd day on the trot, about 1ft of snow in places but steep hill and no gritters means no going out. Water all frozen hard so turned the cattle ouot for water and they wanted to come straight back in. Ducks have stood huddled all day, limited water for them so will have to carry water tomorrow, it has snowed all day again and doesnt look like stopping. could do with a thaw though, i know the snow is nice but not practical when there is so much stock on the farm duckmad
