Sorry I have not been around much, we have just got back from holidays in France and also been busy here 1 daughter getting married in October the other 1 having a baby in New Year and my son is buying a house so lots of lists and shopping to do!!! On the chicken front my Guinea fowl have now stopped laying and decided to now sleep on the chicken hut instead of in it, the 6 Silkies I hatched at Easter turned out to be 3 of each so I need to find a home for at least 1 cockerel if not 2 they are both partridge and nice looking birds am keeping the gold as he is the image of his father who I have just lost ,the rest of the flock are moulting so only getting 1 or 2 eggs a day, fingers crossed the flu doesn't get here but there is a large migratory flock of birds on the estuary which is only over the garden fence!!regards Gill

Saying that out of my 45 im still getting around 25-30 eggs a day . Im wondering now what im going to do when the winter sets in as i sell all my eggs , in fact iv not got enough to sell to everyone that wnats them lol . My customers will be very disappointed if they have to go back to supermarket eggs .
