I have just bought three khaki campbell ducks to lay eggs. They are two or possibly three years old. No eggs yet. How long does it normally take them to settle in and start laying? What is the laying season for this age of duck?
I understand that they are rather highly strung. They get out about once a week (they live on a stream which is fenced off) and swim off downstream and I have to shoo them back. Is this likely to ruffle their feathers into not laying?
Any help much appreciated!

Fiona was absolutely right. She said they would start around Valentine's Day. One started laying on 12th Feb. The remainder started laying today (Valentine's Day). I have two very excited toddlers collecting their eggs every morning.
