I have got 1 cockerel, and about 20 red hens and a number of other hens all in a large 10x10 metre run, 10 of the hens are ex battery hens which i got about 1 month ago. For some reason i am only getting 4-6 eggs a day from all these birds, and as far as i know, none from the battery hens. My battery hens hve got nearly all the feathers back now, (when i first got them some were neraly bald, poor girls.)
Does anybody know why????????????????
